Samples
The following samples were written during my time as a public relations student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I wrote these samples in intensive writing courses, where I strengthened my writing skills, learned more about the AP style and how to effectively communicate with target audiences.
As a public relations practitioner, it is imperative to fully understand how to write effective press releases. I wrote this press release in my intensive writing course to communicate the importance of the topic presented in the release.

When writing releases about people, it is important that the information is relatable and efficiently communicates the person's true personality. In this feature release on UT's SGA VP (2015-16), I discussed her ability to show leadership skills and exemplify what it means to be the perfect student leader.

In any communication field, it is necessary to completely understand how to correctly and efficiently communicate with coworkers and bosses. Sometimes executives and VPs do not necessarily have time to read long documents. Therefore, it is important to know how to write concisely, as I have shown in the PetSafe memo.

The following is a campaign book that was created by four other students and I for our capstone public relations class. Throughout the entire semester, we worked diligently to create a campaign and presentation for Kickstand Community Bike Shop, which is an all volunteer bike collective in Knoxville, TN, dedicated to helping the community with all of their bicycle-needs.
My position in the campaign was the creative director and multimedia designer. My responsibilities included bringing a fresh perspective to the team, developing and designing multimedia presentations, and creating a video unique to the organization to present during the presentation. |
